Quickies: Plucker, Launcher PLUS, myCountryUSA, and More

There is a new graphical user interface for Plucker's desktop app that allows easy, automatic installation of Web content. It also includes a channel creation wizard and an automated installation for Windows. It is available for Windows and Linux. Plucker is an offline HTML viewer. -Harain

Surely one of the most popular categories of Palm apps is launcher replacements. QuickTap has thrown its hat into the ring with Launcher PLUS, which supports hi-res screens, themes, and up to 255 categories. However, it cannot display apps stored on memory cards, though the company is working to add this feature. It is available now for $18. -Ed

Frank Aalbers, the developer of PalmWars, a real-time strategy game, is looking for beta testers. Toysoft, Inc has released myCountryUSA, a geographical study program for the United States. It gives statistics on all the 50 states and costs $7. -PR
