Rumor: Palm has recently been sending out invitations to select customers inviting them to "test an innovative new product." The invitation goes on to list a number of requirements among which include heavy smartphone/email use, WiFi Router access and are a current Sprint customer.
At the very least, this email confirms that Palm's expected next generation Windows Mobile Treo will include WiFi. We can also presume that it also indicates that like many of Palm's previous new Treos, the upcoming device will likely debut on Sprint in the US.

Motion Apps' popular
mOcean mp3 player for Palm OS devices has quietly become a "free" ad-supported app. Since the release of the latest version
last month, the app has now added a small banner containing advertisements across the top of the main screen.
In addition to MP3s, this versatile media app plays back still photos, videos, audiobooks and streaming radio, all while mimicking the general look and feel of Apple's iconic iPod interface. mOcean also features full iTunes synchronization capabilities. It is worth noting that mOcean is only compatible with Palm OS smartphones such as the Treo and Centro, so Palm PDA diehards need to look towards PocketTunes or elsewhere for their media-playback fix.
Of course, users are still able to purchase the app at full price to remove the banner advertisements at the usual price of $29.99. You can check out Tim's review of mOcean v3.0.

Palm's most recent newsletter to their retail and reseller partners indicates that the
Centro extended batteries we covered just a few weeks ago have already been EOL'd. Just one month ago, we posted a
preview article showcasing this battery and its unsightly white hump of a replacement battery door and fully expect it to hit retail in the very near future.
Both the 3341WW Centro Extended Life Battery with black & red replacement covers as well as the 3379WW Extended Life battery with white and blue covers from Palm appear to have essentially died prior to even hitting the market.
