A few screenshots of the
ACCESS Linux Platform have been published. The pictures show a few aspects of the ALP demo that was being shown by PalmSource at 3GSM. Like the previous pictures these pictures were taken from a Linux phone running an early version of ALP, however these new shots show some portions the MAX interface we've all been waiting to see.

Good Technology has announced availability of its first handheld security offering. Good Mobile Defense brings enterprise class security to all aspects of the handheld including third party applications, external storage cards, and handheld features such as WiFi and Bluetooth. With Good Mobile Defense, the level of enterprise security previously only available for GoodLink and GoodAccess is now available to protect the entire handheld.

An interesting slice of Palm history has recently been uploaded to Google Video. The "Palm Pilot Story" is a video from a lecture at the Computer History Museum back in 2002. The video features Jeff Hawkins, Donna Dubinsky and Ed Colligan talking about this story of launching Palm Computing and the first successful handheld computer.

Handango has released their 2005 Year End edition of the Handango Yardstick, a global report on the state of the mobile content industry. The reports include a 2005 Year End edition as well specific reports for each of the five major mobile operating systems: BlackBerry, Palm OS, Symbian OS and Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone.
