ScheduleOnline's Mac Sync Solution
ScheduleOnline, Inc. has announced that Macintosh users can now synchronize calendars, to-do lists, and address books with Palm OS-based devices. Synching between PCs and Web calendars is already offered to PC users by several Web calendars, including ScheduleOnline, but ScheduleOnline is the only Web-based scheduling company that offers this functionality to Macintosh users.
It allows Mac users to synchronize PDAs with a group scheduler that checks, in real-time, the availability of colleagues. Users can schedule with, or be scheduled by colleagues, then load the information for offline access on their PDA. Any changes or additions to information on their PDA or ScheduleOnline account will be replicated and updated on both systems.
“With the introduction of synching capabilities for Macintosh users, ScheduleOnline makes PDAs more enticing and useful for those who have been left out in the cold by the Web-calendar market,” according to Hans Hartman, the company's president. “ScheduleOnline sets the pace for the rest to follow.”
It requires a Macintosh PowerPC and OS 8.1.03 or newer. Users can download the free ScheduleOnline Mac Sync software at their website.
ScheduleOnline was launched in 1999 and has more than 25,000 businesses enrolled. The company delivers, via the Internet and wireless gateways, scheduling and resource planning tools for use within and beyond the small business enterprise. ScheduleOnline’s strategic partnerships include Office Depot, Verizon, Evoke, Cobalt, VistaPrint.com, and NetLatinAmerica.
