The Week in Review: 3/17 - 3/24
The week clearly belonged to the m500 series. The official announcement was Monday, with a whole slew of peripherals being announced too, including an Ethernet cradle and a camera. The new handhelds set off a veritable explosion of debate about Palm's hardware strategy and the m505's color screen.
Though it was a bit overshadowed, Samsung finally released details of its Smartphone which will be available this Summer.
It was also a good week for Bluetooth proponents, with modules being announced for the V series and the Visor. Neither are shipping yet, though.
One of the most interesting bits of news for the week is what didn't happen. HandEra still hasn't announced a new device, though it was rumored one would be demoed at CeBit.
Looking ahead, Palm has scheduled a conference call this Tuesday to talk about its third quarter earnings. They are expected to report a penny per share profit.
