HandEra 330 Developer Contest

HandEra is sponsoring an on-line developer contest for freeware and shareware developers who add HandEra 330 support to their existing applications, with new applications also accepted. Applications that customize the virtual silk screen are also eligible.

The authors of the top twelve applications, as voted on by their external HandEra 330 Beta Team, will each receive a new HandEra 330 handheld computer. Entries must be sent to devcontest@handera.com before June 4.

Applications submitted must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Comply with PalmOS UI Guidelines.
  • Include support for minimizing/maximizing of the Virtual Silkscreen.
  • Support the HandEra 330 system font set if appropriate.
  • Support other 160x160 Palm-Powered devices (Palm IIIxe, m500, etc).
  • Include Icon IDs 2000, 2001, 2002.
  • Appear as High-Res in Application Preference Panel
Note: Support for one-hand operation and screen rotation are optional.

Applications that modify the Virtual Silk area are exempt from the above requirements. These applications, however, must exit gracefully when run on non-HandEra 330 devices.

Visit the for the SDK, POSE, and a rom image file.

The external HandEra 330 Beta Team will judge all entries and their decision is final. Multiple applications from the same author may be submitted, however only one unit will be awarded to any single author.

Need high rez database program for handera

I.M. Anonymous @ 5/6/2001 3:35:58 AM #
Loved the screen shots of quick office in high rez mode on the handera site. They show full use of the graffiti silkscreen in regular as well as landscape mode. If they added a database program to their quick office suite that would be sweet.
