Arcade Classics Now on Palm
Pocket Express is offering Midway Arcade Classics, a bundle of five popular games: Spy Hunter, Joust, Defender II, Sinistar, and Root Beer Tapper. The company worked closely with Midway to ensure that these games are true to the originals. All five are available as a bundle for $30, and each game can be purchased separately.
Each game includes Palm-friendly features such as customizable buttons, three difficulty levels and a pause feature that allows users to finish a game at a later time.
Midway Arcade Classics was developed for Pocket Express by Astraware, the award-winning developer of Zap! 2000 and Zap! 2016.
"Consumers are clamoring for high-quality, branded games that push the envelope on the Palm OS platform," said Alma Rodoni, CEO for Pocket Express. "We are pleased to be able to partner with Midway to offer five very popular games, complete with the kind of game play that will really excite game players."
Individual Prices:
- Spy Hunter: $20
- Joust: $20
- Defender II: $20
- Sinistar: $15
- Root Beer Tapper: $15

RE: Great games but...
There are very, very few PALM apps that are worth $20. DATEBK is one of them.
I'll say this: Stop gouging the customers !!!

RE: Great games but...
I do not want all of the games. I would want at most 1 or 2 of those games. And I'm only willing to pay $5. Therefore, I won't be buying them. I can always play MAME on my laptop if I need an arcade fix.
RE: Great games but...
(correct me if I'm wrong on the numbers, That's a gustimate based on Palm sales)

RE: Arcade Classics
I got Defender II and it rocks!!
Actually, I think PalmStation will be closing down soon
Palm needs a direction keypad
That said, it's too bad Joust has horrible flight movement -- that's one game in this set which only requires left/right/"fire" -- but this version has the joust player "sink" way too fast compared to the original arcade version (or, the excellent Mac version from a few years back).
Palm should take a page from PocketPC and make a directional pad at least on some models. The GameFace for the Visor is a good workaround (though I wish there was one for the m505) -- but having it built in would be better.
