Week in Review: Jan. 22 -- Feb. 2

The week began with the official release of the Palm i705, which several companies have useful services coming for. Palm also released a software update to improve the SD/MMC slot.

In other hardware news, HandEra talked about future color QVGA screens and there were more rumors about the m515 and m130

There was quite a bit of Memory Stick-related news. Sony has dropped their official prices on all standard Memory Sticks and a MemPlug Springboard module that can use them was released, too. Prices to licence the technology are also available.

In Handspring news, the Treo was released in parts of Asia, it is on-track for its U.S. release, and the Visor Pro had a price drop.

As for software, AcidImage 1.0 was released, a new version of TomeRaider is out with VFS support, and Launcher X hopes to replace the default application Launcher.

Mike Cane wrote an opinion piece on Palm OS 5, and there were also reviews of the FX100 Flexible Keyboard and a Vaja Clié N610C Case.

many people would not believe me but i have found a lot of InformAtion about future palm pilotS and will slowly rEveal info like Dates, names, and feAtures

no i do not work for palm so i am not afraid of them finding me. i reveal this information because i do not think it is necessary to keep products a secret so that they can hit it big, playstation 2 is the greatest example. i am a palm enthusiast myself and love finding out about new products and advancements.

my information comes from many different sources so i know it is accurate. dates may be off if i predict them too early, palm usually doesn't know the exact release date until just a few days before. they may delay it to give a greater feeling of suspense (as they did with the i705, it had been ready since christmas, delayed by a month probably because of the people on PIC and similar sites)

my first prediction as PalmProof(i have used other signatures in the past)

m130: released the week of march 13, 2002. It is already in stores' systems.

You've come up empty handed with your proof so far. The link doesn't work.

:P

Sounds nice though. :)

You man. If your predictions are so real, please post them on the forum with your own topic because we do not know when you will update your predictions. I don't want to go into each article to find your post(s).

Thank you,

It worked when I cut and paste the link. But still, nothing is real nowadays. Anything can be fraud. And I think in this world, whatever Palm or anyone else has in secret is not important as each other.

I maybe too serious, but I think we are all waiting for OS5 and devices. Any devices coming out now is for business quarterly reasons, nothing special to get crazy about. Just my 2 cents, guys.

Try the following:

Copy and paste:
http://www.geocities.com/palmproof/proof3.jpg

Then read what is written in the upper left corner. It reads Palm IIIC. And underneath it reads Palm M130. Hmmm.. I don't know.. maybe it's an altered IIIC-pricetag or I'm just wrong?

You can also try to copy and pasting:
http://www.geocities.com/palmproof/proof2.jpg

Maybe the rumours are real, or maybe not. We'll all see in a while anyway!!

When will the m515 be in stores?

$279 for A M1xx series color handheld .... I am not sure, but while people are waiting for Palm OS 5 Handheld, I think most Palm device based on OS 4 released in 2002 will be a flop.

Well, I just checked on of my supplier's websites (Ingram Micro, who supplies alot of computer electronics to major stores in Canada)

They already have info for the m515 listed, though I think it's for the french version.

Media Manufacturer Part No: P80805FR
SKU: 298567
UPC: 805931005441

No info on the m130. The wholesale price is at $561 Canadian, which is the exact same wholesale price as the m505.

I don't know if there was any official announcement of the m515 as well, but the m515 is already in my supplier's system. Sure hope it's not just a typo.

Actually, I think you could also interpret those half letters as "Palm Inc" as per the other scans.

Hey "PalmProof". It's very strange that you post these photos and splash your "name" on them. Why are you so desperate to get credit for the photos? Why would you even care at this point?

Pleased to meet you, hope I guess the nature of your game. Pleased to meet you, hope I guess your name.
