Palm Store Offering a $50 Discount
The Palm Store is currently running a fairly nice promotion that gives customers a coupon code "FIFTYOFF" for an instant $50 off any purchase of $200 or more. The coupon code is valid between now and November 5th.
This would immediately drop the Palm TX down to the $250 neighborhood, still the best price for a brand-new, factory-fresh TX from a reputable merchant. The Tungsten E2, with its list price of $199.99, just needs a bit of padding (perhaps a spare pack of styli?) to be pushed over the $200 threshold and be eligible for the coupon discount. The free shipping on all orders over $49 sweetens the offer a bit more.
With Palm's handhelds having almost completely disappeared from most brick and mortar retail chains and the closure of all Palm retail stores, now might be a good time to pick up one final new handheld direct from Palm with this coupon code while availability is still guaranteed. Of course, any other merchandise offered by the Palm Store is applicable for this promotion as it is not limited exclusively to handhelds.
To the best of my knowledge, the the Palm TX had its all-time best sales price of $199.00 during last seasons winter holiday sales. Of course, frugal shoppers might want to hold off until sometime closer to Black Friday as an even more attractive deal might appear on the horizon.
