Encyclopaedia Britannica in the Palm of Your Hand
Tuesday, April 18, 2000 8:08:36 AM
Today, Encyclopaedia Britannica released a version for the Palm VII. Britannica Traveler -- available for free at Britannica's Web site or at www.palm.net -- doesn't download the entire contents of the 32-volume printed encyclopedia, which goes for $1,250. Instead, a wireless connection to the Britannica.com server allows quick searches of the entire Britannica database and access to specific articles.
