New Hardware: Huge Microdrive, Barcode Scanner

Halo Data Devices has created the world's smallest hard disk drive that is a Type 1 compact flash card. The Halo microdrive is a miniscule 3.3mm weighing in at 10 grams and holds 250MB of data. It is not yet available but should work in the TRGPro.

Symbol has developed a barcode scanning module for the Visor.

What about IBM's microdrive?

IBM has a larger one that's been ouyt for some time...
it may be slightly larger physically, but it also holds
more data. So it's nice that we now have some
alternatives, but no need to gett to hyped.

I thought IBM already had a microdrive that worked in the TRG Pro and had a capacity of 340MB...

It does, but the difference here is that this new device is a Type I (read smaller) card vrs. the Type II IBM Microdrive.
