Sprint Palm Pre Launch Guide Leaked
The internal Palm Pre "Launch Guide" has now been leaked in full. The 23 page PDF details the Sprint Policy for the device launch and contains all of the finer details and talking points for Sprint sales personnel.
In addition, it also reveals a number of features and policies such as: all the Sprint service plan options, the launch accessories and prices, special marketing offers, business sales FAQs and Palm Pre functionality, security and support. The document also reveals the possibility that Sprint will accept Palm Pre orders during the launch week. A couple of pages are mirrored after the break.
The original leak comes from the PreCentral forums, where a poster claims a Sprint reseller accidentally sent him the guidebook. It can be downloaded in full here [.pdf link]. (via TechSutra.)

I've been looking hard at Apple's products. They really do look nice. But I can't seem to get over the way the company locks everything up. Also, cost of ownership for two years for either the iPhone or the Pre would be way more than I want to deal with.
I just want a Palm TX (or equivalent) that can make phone calls. I'll deal with the net over Wifi. I don't want some "everything plan", because that's not how I operate. I have no interest to be pushed or pulled by my wireless carrier. I am not the target user for either device.
The iPod Touch would be a possibility, but there is really no reason whatsoever for me to move away from my TX unless it dies or the new device is converged.
I'm very partial to "openness" at this point too. Maybe something with Android will show up before my TX dies and give me an even better alternative.
Hey Palm! Where's my PDA with Wifi and phone capabilities?

• Document Editing will be available as after-market, third-party application by Dataviz Docs-to-Go.
Timing TBD
Doc viewing only, no editing at this price?

Really?
Yes, this is true. Some cost over $30.00 and some can be purchased for under $5.00.
